About Dani

Born to the pothole ridden streets of Pittsburgh, PA, Danielle started writing in a time long ago, a time when there were not enough vampire stories to read and she had to write her own to fill the void. Yes, such a time of darkness did indeed exist.

Nowadays Danielle writes about more than just vampires, but Fantasy and Paranormal will always be in her blood (get it? Blood? Come on, I'm killing it here!)

When not writing, Danielle is boring...really, really boring. She fangirls over fictional characters and the (usually British) men who play them. She reads comics and watches cartoons (though she says she reads manga and watches anime - because saying it in another language makes all the difference.) She's a big fan of Rifftrax, XKCD, and ThinkGeek, and in general, she embraces her geekiness and everything that comes with that title.

Oh yeah, and she's a mom and wife...if you want to include the sidestuff as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

So, you're a writer? Give it to me straight, what can I expect if I take a chance and read you?

Why, yes I am a writer! I am a USA Today Bestseller of the Entwined Realms and the Fairy Tales & Ever Afters series (that's all for now, but there is always stuff in the works). As for what my scribbles contain...

  • Somehow it will be connected to Fantasy or Paranormal.
  • There will be violence - especially from the women folk.
  • It will have my sense of humor (such as it is).
  • Excellent chance you'll see some creatures of myths and legends making an appearance
  • Even though there is humor, if I don't make you cry during my story or at least make your heart hurt once, then I've done something wrong.
  • And finally, always always there will be a strong romantic element to it, even if it is not classified as a romance.
In short - sex and violence, ba-bies! I got you covered both ways!

I've read your stories, and strangely enough - I like them! I want to know the moment your next book releases, so please, how do I do this?

You are too kind and thank you greatly! The best way to know the moment one of my books releases is to sign up for my Danielle Monsch - Romantic Geek Girl announcements list. This list is only used to announce when I have a new book out OR if I'm running a big contest - don't want my list peeps to possibly miss out on getting free stuff! Other than that, I don't bother you, and I promise on my Lord of the Rings Extended DVD collection I will never give your email out to anyone else.

How do you feel about fanfiction/fanart/ fan anything-that-fandom-can-come-up-with?

Love It, Love It, Love It! I honed my writing chops doing my own fanfic back in the day, so I am good with whatever fan way you want to use to express your enjoyment of my series. Have fun, and send me a copy of that fanart! (Legal Disclaimer: I can not/will not/shall not read any fanfic. I really appreciate the craft and dedication of the fanfic writers out there, but lawyers have gotten involved, and it would be a very bad idea for me to read any fanfic - so as much as I'd love too, I can't. :( )
