Today on Romantically Speaking I talked to my fellow writer and good friend Anna Alexander about the wonders of being an unpubbed author and some of what we have learned in our journey towards getting that elusive publishing contract.
A couple points we hit on.... the importance of Marketing, Research!Research!Research!, and why conferences are a great way of learning your craft.
Also, there are a few sites we have found useful on our journey to being published and would recommend to newbies who want to expand their learning (disclaimer: We don't own any of these sites, all opinions are of the site owners/operators, and we are in no way responsible for any information on them! Don't you love legalese?) - Preditors & Editors, Dear Author, Agent Query, Absolute Write, Romance Divas - This list is by no means exhaustive, just a few of the ones we go to often.
So for more of our musings on being unpublished and wishing that weren't the case, please tune in to Romantically Speaking, episode 12!
